I’ve spent my time since Living Walls working on the backdrops for Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s upcoming fall performance 19-20-21. While it’s been nice to be able to work in my studio again, these pieces are the largest I’ve ever produced from my space. In addition, backdrops require a lot of extras that a regular canvas doesn’t demand such as adjustments so they can be hung and being treated with flame retardant so they don’t catch fire on stage. There’s been a definite learning curve.
Below I’m doing final touch-ups prior to the backdrops being hung.
Here’s me with the pieces laid out in the correct order just prior to going up.
